Golf Club Iron Sets

Irons are generally used when you are less than 200 yards away from the green. The closer you are to the green, the higher the iron you will use. A standard Iron Clubs Set irons consists of 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 IRONS and the PITCHING WEDGE (PW). The 3 and 4 irons are harder to hit than the higher number irons. Many golfers, especially ladies, seniors and higher handicap golfers, are changing to a modified standard golf set that replaces the 3 and 4 iron with hybrids. Hybrids are a cross-bread of woods and irons. We think this is a sensible trend and one that a beginning golfer should consider. Hybrids are easier to hit and more forgiving than a 3 or 4 iron and result in comparable distances. Wedges are specialty irons. The first wedge is the Pitching Wedge (PW), which is usually about 48 degrees in loft. Wedges generally increase in 4 degree loft amounts. So wedges commonly come in 48, 52, 56, 60 and 64 degree lofts. Wedges are extremely useful to your game and most golfers have a few of them. Wedges are generally designed as "blade clubs" because you are close enough to the green that the game improvement design elements (discussed below) are less important. The need for increased shot control and shot shaping, which blade design encourages, becomes the more important technology for a good wedge design and good golf club wedges.

The object of the golf game is to hit the ball straighter and farther, so golf clubs sets designed to do that are called GAME IMPROVEMENT golf clubs. The primary characteristics of game improvement Iron Clubs are perimeter weighting, large sweet spot and low center of gravity design.

a) Perimeter Weighted Iron Clubs

Perimeter weighting means that the weight of the golf club head is positioned around the perimeter of the golf club instead of at the center. If you always hit the ball dead center perfect, you would want a small sweet spot and no perimeter weighting so you could put as much physical mass directly behind the impact point of the ball. However, if you are off - even just a millimeter - your shot will go astray. Perimeter weight distribution maximizes forgiveness.

b) Large Sweet Spot

A large sweet spot is generally created by perimeter weighting design. The sweet spot is the optimum place to make contact with the ball. The larger the sweet spot, the greater room for swing error. But designing for the largest sweet spot can leave less room to correct other common swing errors. Perimeter weighting can be shifted to cure toe-miss-hits and to help get the ball up in the air.

c) Low Center of Gravity

Low center of gravity (C.G.) means shifting weight to the bottom of the club to increase the ability to hit the ball up into the air. If you don't have a problem getting the golf ball off the ground, then C.G. should be less important to you. It you have a big problem in this area then C.G. matter a lot.

Several Things to Consider Before Taking on a New Golf Putter

It doesn't matter what level of golfer you happen to be, there is one golf club that you will make use of a great deal more than any other during a round of golf. Definitely not the driver, which a few players never take out of the bag. It's needless to say the putter, and becoming a decent or even great putter calls for a putter that is right for you. Here we will look at some options.

Prior to looking for that putter you want, ask yourself what your preferred putting stroke is, or the shape of your stroke. Is it a directly back and directly through motion, or is it an inside to inside motion, or kind of the mini adaptation of the full swing rotation? All putting strokes fall by and large in one of these two types, and your putting stroke approach is going to establish the kind of putter best for you.

Provided you keep the blade of the putter square to the ball in the course of the putting stroke like I do, it is best to look to utilize a center-shafted design. In other words, the club shaft attaches to the putter head at roughly its center point, and also the base of the putter is going to be pretty much level on the ground. Let's say you favor the inside to inside stroke, then a heel-shafted putter or the shaft attaching to the heel are for you. For this putter the toe of the club will have contact with the ground more than the remainder of the base.

Another facet which may be helpful when choosing a putter is little alignment aids at the tops of some putter heads. A different feature which has had some acceptance is putting a strip of urethane, a material employed to make golf balls, on the golf putter face. Some golfers favor the softer feel as they strike the ball.

One more thing to check out in golf putters are types that offer moment of inertia, or MOI. These golf putters resist twisting if the ball is struck off-center, and the disparity is often substantial. Essentially it turns your bad putts into not-so-bad putts, but as outlined by a study reported in Golf Digest, it could make a four foot difference for a 22 foot putt. It certainly makes that second putt a lot less difficult.

So what do you need to do if you get a golf putter that feels right, you've allowed it every possible opportunity to help your short game and it nevertheless lets you down? Possibly it is time to search for the very last resort of putters, the ones you observe a lot at the Champions Tour. I recognize those extended golf putters seem to be absurd, but they get the wrist action out of golf putting. As you get up in the years your wrist action is generally the first item to fall apart.

These elongated putters fall into a couple of types: belly putters and long putters. Belly putters anchor to the midsection and are designed to minimize wrist movement. Long putters are five to 10 inches lengthier and eliminate all wrist action, since the left hand is going to secure the top end of your golf club on the chest or beneath your chin, and the right hand simply leads the club through your putting motion. These clubs will be easy for the nerves and worth trying if conventional putting is giving you troubles.

How to Study the Golf Technology

I have decided that over the next year I will embark on a study of golf technology. I have decided to purchase the best golf clubs over the days and start studying how golf technology has really changed. I came across this idea at my country club today. So I decide to purchase the high quality golf equipment from the cheap golf shop for my golf lessons during the winter.

Read more at http://okgolfsales.com

At first, after I have played with these clubs, I will study and l measure each facet of the club from clubs made pre-1850, 1860-1899, 1900-1935, 1935- 1990 and modern clubs. I will record the data of each club is relevant to loft, weight, length, and MOI, I don't record the high level of data on height, speed and spin but when hitting a 7 iron my average shot carried 135 yards.

Then I will measure the ball's size, weight and the materials, gutta percha, Haskell, hurt and now multi-layered ball. The gutta percha golf ball is used from 1848-1902 and is constructed from solid gutta percha, which means that it is rock solid and doesn't fly very a lot.

Finally I will hit just about every ball with its historical equal club and measure release angles, ball speed, whirl and carry. Now natural and organic to my data over a Pro-V1 hit with the same modern 6 iron and my regular carry distance is one hundred seventy five yards. 40 yards and that is certainly still using a modern 6 iron, what would the average be around a pre-1900 smooth face mashie? Properly I didn't have one, however I can tell you off the top of my own head that I average concerning 125 yards with a pre-1900 mashie which can be nearly the same loft being a modern 7 iron.

At the end of the research I should manage to tell you exactly what advantages just about every era's equipment had over the future. Why player's favored specific shots over their contemporary counterparts and perhaps get a screen into the future of golf.

If you have the same interests like me, I highly recommend you to buy all kinds of golf clubs to research by self. Only playing and studying by your self can you have the unique understand. And maybe you will find what new levels of technology have done for the game of golf.

Outstanding Mizuno Golf JPX A25 Driver Spotlight

When you are setting up to the" classic" golf club, what kinds of thoughts run through your brain? For me, I imagine the soft smooth feel of the special spot. I visualize your ball curving through the atmosphere at will. I can almost start to see the ball falling to the green with just enough spin for your ball to bounce twice and then stop. Fortunately, I found my "dream golf driver", the outstanding JPX A25 drivers from Mizuno. Read more at http://okgolfsales.com

Mizuno Japanadded the new incredible Mizuno JPX A25 Drivers, part of the number one JPX series. They are Mizuno's most forgiving equipment ever which are made for forgiveness as well as distance, with a high MOI styling featuring UDS to eliminate any spin from the head on impact.

The serious center of gravitational pressure in addition to wide sweet locations decrease distance loss in away center to hit your ball nicely and directly. This titanium 460cc driver is coordinated using Mizuno‘s wonderful QUAD shaft intended for excellent feel and a pleasant the middle of kicking trajectory. They are Mizuno's most forgiving equipment ever which are made for forgiveness as well as distance, with a high MOI styling featuring UDS to eliminate any spin from the head on impact The revolutionary A25 can be Mizuno‘s straightest most forgiving golf clubs ever

From my own experience with most of these drivers in the golf course, I am going to say that not only does this equipment live up to the hearsay around the Mizuno name, this wedge specifically exceeds it: reliable, even, forgiving and altogether a wonderful club. I got very good effects with the JPX A25. I personally can't help thinking about it when looking at other golf clubs shaped in this style. The best position is how you strike your ball and there were virtually no complaints here.

Totally, what I have mentioned above will be the strong points of Callaway golf clubs, which strengthened the status and influence on your golf clubs manufacture field. Therefore Callaway golf clubs are priceless of golf fans. Nevertheless, Callaway Clubs do not quit, but keep moving instead.

Happy memories for Molinari

The way he emerged victorious was special in itself, birdying his last three holes by TaylorMade R11 Ironsat Gleneagles to pip Australian Brett Rumford to the post right at the death, but perhaps even more significantly it was the win that all but forced Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie to make the Italian one of his wildcard picks for the European squad that took on the USA at Celtic Manor.

It was very much on Molinari's mind as well. Before the start of the final round, trailing by one shot, he was quoted as saying, "I think if you win the last event and you don't get picked there's something seriously wrong. I would be very upset if I win and he doesn't pick me."

Edoardo did win, and Montgomerie did pick him, choosing the 30-year-old Italian over even the likes of Paul Casey and Justin Rose.

It all worked out for the European team in the end, as they won a nail-biter at Celtic Manor, and even though neither of the Molinaris won TaylorMade R11 Irons, their partnership grabbed a half point in the fourballs and Edoardo himself managed a half point on the final day singles against Rickie Fowler - points that were as valuable as any others scored.

Edoardo was riding pretty high at that stage, climbing as high as 15th in the rankings. A more sedate 2011 has since seen him drop back down to 50th and he'll be eager to start his comeback this week.

"Defending my title at Gleneagles is a big priority - it's a great tournament and I really like the course, which will be a great venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup," he said.

"I like playing TaylorMade R11 Irons inScotland and I'm sure the Scottish crowds will be unbelievable to me again, just like they were last year. They are the most knowledgeable crowd that we play in front of."

His brother Francesco led the event going into the final round last year, but finished third after a disappointing 75. He's back again as well to try and rectify that wrong.

"So far Edoardo has had all the success inScotland, and I'm keen to follow his example this year," Francesco said.

"We've won a number of tournaments between us, but have yet to win the same title, so that's what I'll be aiming for this week."

, so I think I'm still on the right side of it."
